Beyond the Berm Episode 82

The fall television season is here, and we talk about some of the shows we have been watching or hope to watch. Have you caught the new Marvel series Inhumans? Are you looking forward to Agents of SHIELD when it returns? Dancing with the Stars? Or some other shows?

Also, the holiday movie season is quickly approaching. Thor: Ragnarok will be here in early November, followed by Pixar’s Coco and a new movie about Star Wars something or other – maybe you have heard of it? We talk about what we are looking forward to without giving away any spoilers that we may or may not have heard.

Lastly, Steve brings up the question of which closed attractions that we got to experience at the Disney parks do we miss the most? See if any of your favorites make our list!

All that and more awaits you in Episode 82 from Beyond the Berm!

Episode 75: Disney Television and Movies

It may come as a surprise to some of you that Beyond the Berm is back only two weeks after our previous episode, but here we are again with Episode 75!

To start off, Matt comes clean with the revelation that he has been watching the Disney Channel at night sometimes. That may come as a surprise to some our regular listeners as well. We are just full of surprises, as it turns out. We talk about some of the shows that are good, some of the shows that are otherwise, and try to make some guesses about what direction the Disney Channel is taking for the future.

Oops, wrong logo. But this one is much better than the newer one, anyway.

After Steve asks the somewhat rhetorical question of whether Disney may be looking at any major acquisitions in the future, we discuss some of the different animation studios out there, wondering what it would have been like if Disney had not bought Pixar, or perhaps if Disney had bought Dreamworks Animation a few years ago.

Awards season is here, and we watch those about as much as we watch the Disney Channel these days. But that does lead to a discussion of Zootopia vs. Moana, since they are going up against each other for different awards. Zootopia already has one under its belt, so who might win the next one? Hmmm.

Also, remake season is here. But instead of just being a short season of the year, this season has been going on for a while, and it looks to continue far into the future. What are our pre-release thoughts about the Beauty and the Beast remake? And what about some of the other, remakes, reboots, and sequels? Listen in to find out.

All of this and more in Episode 75 of Beyond the Berm!

Episode 25: Showing Our Disney Sides

Time once again to go Beyond the Berm! Episode 25 is here!

For starters this time around, Matt asks about our Disney sides, because the current Disney Parks marketing campaign wants us to “Show Your Disney Side.” What side is that? Well, that’s a good question. See if we can come up with an answer.

Steve talks about his favorite new show of the fall television season, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” And in typing that, it would be much easier to just type “SHIELD” without all of the dots, but we will put them in for accuracy’s sake. Have you seen it? What do you think about it?

Matt then brings up the latest trailer for the upcoming Disney animated movie “Frozen.” And that leads to a discussion about animated movies in general and their publicity campaigns more specifically. See if you agree with what we have to say. Or see if you think we are just turning into a couple of grumpy old podcast hosts.

All that and lots more in Beyond the Berm Episode 25!
