What did we talk about in this episode? Perhaps the better question would be what did we not talk about in this episode! We covered lots of ground, moving from topic to topic with some pretty interesting transitions. The new Star Wars trailer, Big Hero 6, the live-action Cinderella movie, Into the Woods, Frozen and its amazing year, Frozen stuff at the Disney parks, new life for The Great Movie Ride, Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. updates, Marvel and Moana movie casting news, and so much more!
And we even threw in some history bits about Memphis Wrestling, too. Who is this Flex Kavana guy, and what does he have to do with Disney?
Find out in this episode! And that rumor about the Matterhorn replacing Harold the Abominable Snowman with a Wampa and the bobsled vehicles being changed to gutted out Tauntauns? Pretty safe bet that you won’t hear that anywhere else!
All that and even more is in Episode 47 of Beyond the Berm!
For starters, we talk about the new iPhones, since both of us are iPhone guys. Have you gotten a new, bigger phone? Or even an even bigger phone? Hear our thoughts about them, and let us know yours.
Next up, we learned that Cast Members at Disney’s Hollywood Studios were informed that the final day for the Backlot Tour is this Saturday, September 27. Nothing has been announced to take its place, but that doesn’t stop everyone from talking about what it might be, including us. We also talk about some other changes around the resort, including the addition of Frozen in Epcot. Listen in to see what we think about all of this.
Matt is making a solo trip to Walt Disney World to take part in the Marathon in January, and he needs some help in planning what to do during the three days that he is there. Sort of a game, sort of asking for advice. What would you do? Matt would love to hear some suggestions! We talk about some starter ideas, but he would appreciate your feedback.
All this and more in this episode of Beyond the Berm!
We’re back! Did you miss us? Beyond the Berm returns for episode 29 after a long holiday break!
To start off, we spend a good bit of time discussing the recent Disney movie releases that we have seen, which include Frozen, Saving Mr. Banks, and Thor: The Dark World. We also discuss The Lone Ranger, which is now out on DVD and Blu-Ray. What did we think about all of these? Listen in to find out.
Matt then tells about the holiday-themed overlay of the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, known as the Jingle Cruise, since he was able to experience the West Coast version. Hear what he thought about it.
Up next, we discuss some of the rumors of possible additions to the parks, including a future Star Wars land, and we talk about the rumors that these rumored additions have been cancelled or delayed due to MyMagic+, among other things. Not that we really have any inside information at all, but that never has stopped us from talking about anything before, has it?
All this and more in Episode 29 of Beyond the Berm!
Time once again to go Beyond the Berm! Episode 25 is here!
For starters this time around, Matt asks about our Disney sides, because the current Disney Parks marketing campaign wants us to “Show Your Disney Side.” What side is that? Well, that’s a good question. See if we can come up with an answer.
Steve talks about his favorite new show of the fall television season, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” And in typing that, it would be much easier to just type “SHIELD” without all of the dots, but we will put them in for accuracy’s sake. Have you seen it? What do you think about it?
Matt then brings up the latest trailer for the upcoming Disney animated movie “Frozen.” And that leads to a discussion about animated movies in general and their publicity campaigns more specifically. See if you agree with what we have to say. Or see if you think we are just turning into a couple of grumpy old podcast hosts.
All that and lots more in Beyond the Berm Episode 25!
